Based on her latest actions, we have nothing but positive things to say about Miley Cyrus.

The singer/actress has recruited famous friends for an online auction to benefit victims of last month's earthquake in Haiti.

"Ever since the earthquake, I've been trying to do my part to help the people of Haiti – and I wanted to do more," Cyrus told People. "I want to get people involved and show that even the little things you can do can make a difference."

Starting February 8, you can visit Ebay.com/Miley to bid on the Herve Leger dress the singer wore to the Grammy Awards, along with two tickets to the Hollywood premiere of The Last Song.

Meanwhile, Nicole Richie has donated jewelry, while Britney Spears has handed over the outfit she wore to the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards.

"Everyone has been so generous," Miley said. "My mom and I started calling and texting all of our friends to see if they’d like to be a part of the auction. Demi [Lovato] was one of the first to respond. Hugh Jackman was also excited to donate something."

All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross.

I know it may seem impossible but some Republicans do understand the need for comprehensive climate and energy legislation.

Given, some may not entirely believe the climate change thesis, many do understand the national security, oil, and job creation aspects of it.

The most outspoken Republican is Sen. Lindsey Graham  who has been working with Sens. John Kerry and Joe Lieberman to develop a comprehensive energy bill that all parties can agree on. He was recently quoted as saying that an energy bill that does not regulate carbon would be “half-assed”.

Sen. Graham continued to emphasize the importance of regulating carbon since it will lead to the investment in alternative technologies that will create new jobs, reduce our dependency on foreign oil, and allow us to be come a leader in such technologies.

Sen. Graham also expressed his concerns of China’s continued push into alternative and green technologies and stated that the longer the U.S. waits the further we will fall behind.

Tim Burton will be bringing Alice in Wonderland to the silver screen again, this time in an ultra-trippy 3-D presentation, on March 5th, 2010.

Disney has been hitting the promotional trail hard for this one, and from the look of all the posters and trailers, it is very much a Tim Burton film, incorporating classic elements of his characteristic visual style. This is very evident of just how close Helena Bonham Carter's Red Queen resembles Burton's original character sketch, which you can see below!

Click on the thumbnail to view a larger version, and compare the sketch to posters and stills from the film in our Alice in Wonderland pictures gallery!

Should we start with the cliff hanger or save it for later?! We say get right down to the business!

If you haven't read any of our spoilers, "Dead to Me" ended with a complete shock!

Someone very close to Melinda will die sometime soon - and how did she find out about it? Why through a Ouija board ghost!

Dead to Me Scene

I am a pretty superstitious person - being Catholic and definitely believing in spirits, made tonight's episode have quite some authenticity to it. Ask anyone who is Catholic - nothing good can come out of a Ouija board.

That was one of the main reasons why I had such a hard time believing the young dead girl, Madison, to be the one doing the foretelling of death. Perhaps she used it to her advantage, some of the time, but the Ouija board opens the doors for any spirit to come right in.

Who do you think it will be? It would be really silly for the writers to kill someone off and have them come back again like Jim did. Wouldn't that be like beating a dead horse? Been there done that and time to move on. If we had to guess - we would choose Ned. Ned's character really doesn't add much except access to the college library. He even said so this week - he has nothing special to add to the group. And it was his lame butt who brought the Ouija boards in in the first place!

Back to the storyline, like last week, Aiden and Jim both had minor parts. We think this is to lead up to something big. We all have been waiting - and we say - it's about time! Don't get me wrong, we really loved this week's episode. It was definitely spooky, but had a softer part to it. No parent should have to out live their children. It just is not the way to go. When Madison went into the light, I was a bit teary eyed.

We are happy to hear Avery will become a reoccurring character. We thought she was great! Especially the scene's with her talking to Curtis! That had me laughing out loud!

Now that we see a light at the end of the tunnel (that sounds a bit morbid, but fitting) - we only have to wait until the 100th episode to find out who and why one of our main characters dies!

Until next week, here are a few of The Ghost Whisperer quotes that we enjoyed:

Madison: I couldn't say good-bye until it means something.
Melinda: What means something?
Madison: Me being gone. | permalink
Avery: Ugh! Why isn't there a star 69 on this thing? | permalink
Ned: The ghost couldn't be a guy.
Eli: How come?
Ned: Dude, the ghost left a glitter note. | permalink

Parks and Recreation had a lot to live up to after Leslie's amazing dinner party two weeks ago.  While not as funny as the previous episode, this week still had plenty of laughs, some solid character development, and brought us much closer to an April-Andy pairing.

In this week's episode, "Sweetums," the show took on the ongoing concept of government privatizing its concession stands.  Heck, Ron Swanson was ready to privatize the parks while he was at it.  Put in a token, see a duck!

Leslie

We've definitely seen the effects of privatization at our local park and appreciate the satire, but let's be honest, we watch the show for the jokes.  Don't worry, Ron Swanson and crew were able to bring in the main story line.  Turf and turf?  Amazing.

Meanwhile, in the side story, Tom manages to sucker the rest of the office into helping him move and introduce to the hilarious concept of DJ Roomba. We also got to see April jump at the chance to help Tom move when she found out Andy was involved.  Watching her awkward attempts at flirting and telling off her gay boyfriend(s)?  Great.

Overall we thought it was a great episode, but not nearly as good as last week's outing.  Now for some of our favorite Parks and Recreation quotes from the episode after the jump.

Ron: I think the entire government should be privatized. Chuck E. Cheese could run the parks. Everything operated by tokens. Drop in a token, go on the swing set. Drop in another token, take a walk. Drop in a token, look at a duck. | permalink
Tom: Why don't you get some Canadian bacon on it, since you're from Canada, and sausage, because I'm brown and spicy. | permalink
Ron: After I got home, I drank six more glasses of whiskey and then I finished crafting this mall harp, using a bandsaw, a spokeshave and an oscillating spindle sander. | permalink
Leslie: The first line, by the way: Oh captain, my captain. Ron Swanson, a swan song. Yeah. It gets better from there! | permalink

Warner Bros. has released a new red band trailer for Kevin Smith's Cop Out, and we're happy to say that it's much funnier than the first Cop Out trailer.

Among the funniest moments in the new trailer sees Tracy Morgan scrapping with a 10 year-old after apprehending him from a carjacking. Not to let Nicholas Cage top him by shooting a girl in the chest, Tracy Morgan slugs the little carjacker in the nards. Even Sean William Scott's part is funnier, and the film now resembles a Kevin Smith project, with copious amounts of foul language and a myriad of sexual innuendo.

Anyway, check out the trailer below! Cop Out opens on February 26th in theaters everywhere.

Another advancement in technology may one day make our personal electronic gadgets even more Green and energy efficient.

Researchers at the University of Pennsylvania have developed, created, and constructed the world’s first solar powered circuit.

For a few years now the only way to have a solar powered personal device was with a external device or chunky backs full of low-grade solar technology. But these new solar power circuit could essentially turn any touchscreen or optical device into both an electrical charger and a computer chip.

The technology still has a long way to go before it becomes viable and the photovoltaic cell can produce enough energy; but, just the fact that there has been  a new technological breakthrough such as this can only lead to even more and greater possibilities.
